Help Desk Technician

CURE is seeking candidates for an exceptional opportunity for a Help Desk Technician.  The Help Desk Technician is a member of the Technology team and is responsible for supporting applications and computer/network systems at CURE’s Mission Support Center (MSC).  The Help Desk Technician works closely with, and takes direction from, the Senior IT Analyst to ensure that MSC information technology needs are well supported and maintained.  In addition, the Help Desk Technician may, on occasion, be called upon to support CURE’s field operations in the hospitals or programs.  That support will, in most cases, be provided remotely from the MSC, but may require travel to the field.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide IT support for the CURE MSC.  This includes, but is not limited to:
    • ​Desktop and laptop PC support and troubleshooting.
    • Wired and wireless network troubleshooting.
    • Desktop software application support.  
  • Perform work tasks as assigned in CURE's Help Desk ticket system.
  • Support existing CURE applications including, but not limited to, Google Apps, Jazz, Xledger, Zamboo, Bamboo HR, Salesforce, and associated supporting applications, miscellaneous CURE related websites, Zendesk, and applications used by field operations such as EMR, PACS, CMMS, etc.  
  • Assist CURE staff on the use of information technology, including communication of IT policies and standards.
  • Provide IT support for CURE field operations, working with IT personnel located in the field.
  • Perform other duties related to the overall functioning of the Technology team at CURE MSC.

Qualified candidates for this position will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience in related background.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience with IT systems and/or networking and/or application deployment/configuration and support preferred.
  • Experience directly helping others with use of information technology.
  • Demonstrated track record of learning new technologies.
  • Ability to take assigned tasks and work independently on them, requesting assistance as needed.
  • Basic desktop, laptop and network troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in common office productivity software.
  • Good communication skills and and comfortable working one-on-one with technology users.
  • Basic understanding of web related technologies (HTML, HTTP).
  • Programming skills in languages such as PHP, Python, and Javascript is a plus.
