Copywriter (part-time)

CURE is seeking candidates for an exceptional opportunity for a part-time Copywriter.  The Copywriter, as a member of the Marketing team and in support of the needs of the organization, is primarily responsible for reviewing content, coordinating and creating content, and helping craft corporate communications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and write donor-focused, impact-oriented content for appeal letters, monthly acknowledgement letters, and other externally-facing communications, often as a ghostwriter on behalf of executive leadership.
  • Edit and review communication and collateral including media, online content, articles and print materials, in light of brand guidelines, messaging themes, and voice.
  • Write corporate communications as needed, including press releases.
  • Support the production of marketing collateral and campaigns.
  • Curate patient stories for the Advancement team.

Qualified candidates for this position will possess the following:

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Journalism, English, or Communications.
  • Minimum three to five (3-5) years of professional writing experience, previous work with non-profit donor communications preferred.
  • Excellent editorial and copywriting skills.
  • Press release creation and distribution skills.
  • Creative storytelling abilities.
