NOTE: This is an in-country position.
Location: Davao City
Tebow CURE Nurse manages the care and recovery of the patients in collaboration with the medical team, who undergo Orthopedic and Reconstructive surgeries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Restores and promotes patient’s health using the nursing process.
- Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
- Provides physical and psychological support to patients, families, and friends.
- Identifies patient care requirements by establishing rapport with patients and their families.
- Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
- Performs quality of care by adhering to the established plan of care and standards.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions.
- Maintains patients’ records in confidentiality.
- Adheres to infection control policies and protocols.
- Administers medication observing the rights of medication.
- Ensures that equipment is operational, and is responsible in calling for repairs and or preventive maintenance as the need arises.
- Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine and monitor inventory levels.
- Maintains an intentional relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.
- Performs admission assessment and ongoing, focused system assessment, including medical histories.
- Participates in and leads in-service training and team unit meetings.
- Cross-train on other nursing roles and duties and perform work in other areas within the Nursing Department, as necessary.
- Perform Charge Nursing.
- Ensure proper turnover of patients to the next shift Nurse on Duty.
OTHER DUTIES
- Uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency in line with hospital quality programs (e.g. Safecare, DOH, etc.) requirements.
- Ensure a safe and secure work environment by strictly adhering to infection prevention and control protocols such as but not limited to handwashing, wearing of PPE, etc.
- Commit to sustainable and eco-friendly work practices by minimizing waste, optimizing resource usage and actively participating in initiatives that promote environmental stewardship.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Education Required: Bachelor Degree in Nursing
- License/Certificate: License by the Professional Regulatory Board of Nursing, Philippines, BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Minimum Experience Required: At least a 1-year experience as a Staff Nurse is an advantage but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Fluent in local dialects such as Bisaya and Tagalog.
- Able to communicate well in English, verbal and written.
- Able to develop and provide individual patient care according to the established plan of care and standards.
- Ability to make independent nursing decisions that meet standards of practice and are in the best interests of the patient.
- Able to evaluate a patient's response to teaching, and plan in order to determine the effectiveness of the plan.
- Ability to identify and interpret early indicators of the crisis and intervene immediately.
