CURE has an exceptional opportunity for a CURE Clubfoot Monitoring & Evaluation Intern (Fall 2017) at its headquarters (Mission Support Center) location. This position represents a unique opportunity for students to gain practical work experience and increase their understanding of relevant issues related to their field of studies. The CURE Clubfoot Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Intern will support the CURE Clubfoot operations team in data collection, analysis and learnings to help ensure quality and efficiency in its program.
This internship is unpaid, and can be either part-time or full-time. The timeframe for the internship is Fall 2017 (approximately August or September 2017 – December 2017). CURE will support college credit, upon request.
Support CURE Clubfoot in managing quantitative and qualitative program data.
Work closely with the CURE Clubfoot program management team on all data collection, entry and analysis.
Assist in the collection, importation, cleaning and quality control of data within various reporting tools.
Run data analyses for the purpose of monitoring activities against Key Performance Indicators.
Disaggregate CURE Clubfoot data and share learnings among the CURE Clubfoot team.
Assess the merits and limitations of CURE Clubfoot qualitative and quantitative data collection.
Provide support in the development and strengthening of the monitoring and evaluation procedures for CURE Clubfoot.
Assist in the development, implementation of training or e-learning in the use of a quality program monitoring framework (tools and processes).
Suggest strategies for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the program.
Conduct capacity assessment on existing monitoring and evaluation system.
Provide assistance in monitoring and evaluation, and data collection, clarity and delivery.
Disseminate research findings through professional conference presentations.
Qualified candidates for this position will possess the following:
Graduate or student studying for a Bachelors degree in social sciences, management information systems and/or any other related fields.
Previous international experience preferred.
Exceptional writing and other communications skills required.
Strong analytical and research skills are essential.
Ability to demonstrate the highest level of ethical standards at all times.
Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills.
Motivated to learn.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to think critically and work independently are a must.
Proficiency in institutional supported software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google docs) strongly desired.
Proven commitment to pursuing a career in international development strongly preferred.
