NOTE: This is an in-country position.
Location: Davao City

The Maintenance Staff is responsible for implementing and completing their assigned maintenance work based on work area or specialization. At times when an outside Contractor is needed to conduct repair works, the Maintenance Technician supervises and monitors their work progress to ensure the project is completed in a timely and efficient manner.


​​​​​ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPOSIBILITIES:
  1. Perform maintenance and construction functions including, but not limited to, stopping water leaks, repairing faulty doors, painting, etc.
  2. Perform basic electrical repair functions including, but not limited to, checking, and replacing light fittings and bulbs, cleaning battery terminals, checking and securing sockets, etc.
  3. Participate in designing and creating solutions to maintenance problems in conjunction with other hospital personnel.
  4. Assist with purchasing of maintenance supplies and providing accountability for the use of purchased items.
  5. Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained properly.
  6. Assist in housekeeping responsibilities associated with keeping the facility clean, sterile, and orderly. Function as Reliever for Housekeeping Staff if needed.
  7. Attend and participate in office devotionals, seminars, in-service education classes, on-the-job training programs, etc.
OTHER DUTIES
  • Uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency in line with Safecare requirements.
  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment by strictly adhering to infection prevention and control protocols such as but not limited to handwashing, wearing of PPE, etc.
  • Commit to sustainable and eco-friendly work practices by minimizing waste, optimizing resource usage and actively participating in initiatives that promote environmental stewardship.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Minimum Education Required: Atleast a High School Graduate or equivalent.
  2. License/Certification Required; if any: TESDA NCII Certification for any of the enumerated skills is an advantage.
  3. Minimum Experience Required: Experience in plumbing, heating, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and/or construction required. Knowledge in biomedical field is a plus.

  1. Good communication skills.
  2. Ability to learn new techniques and procedures related to maintenance.
  3. Good verbal and written communication skills
  4. Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  5. Adept at working well independently with minimal supervision.
  6. Highly dedicated and hardworking. Willing to work extra hours if needed.
  7. With an exceptional work ethic and strong attention to work quality and safety.
