CURE has an exceptional opportunity for a Specialty Programs Grants Intern (Spring 2018) at its headquarters (Mission Support Center) location. This position represents a unique opportunity for students to gain practical work experience and increase their understanding of relevant issues related to their field of studies. The Specialty Programs Grants Intern will provide full cycle grants management assistance - identification, evaluation, application, compliance and performance measurement and reporting - for CURE Clubfoot (CC) and CURE Hydrocephalus and Spina Bifida (CHSB) grants ensuring timely submission of proposals, reports and amendments.
This internship is unpaid, and can be either part-time or full-time. The timeframe for the internship is Spring 2018 (approximately January 2018 – May 2018). CURE will support college credit, upon request.
Work in partnership with the Specialty Program Directors, CURE Mission Support Center (MSC) and CURE UK development team members to identify grant opportunities. Provide direction regarding research on current, new and prospective grants, evaluating each relationship to determine ministry fit and capacity.
Proactively research and monitor public and private grant opportunities and requests for proposals in corporate, government and foundation funding, and work in partnership with appropriate specialty program team members to coordinate applications.
Prepare professional funding proposals, grant reports, executive briefings, and project updates for grants, foundations and individuals that closely align with the mission of CC and CHSB.
Coordinate with Specialty Program Operations and Regional Directors to be sure that grants are on track for timely completion and that deadlines and deliverables are able to be met.
Work with MSC and Specialty Program finance teams to ensure systems for preparation of timely and accurate donor reports are in place.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of a library of proposal language for ongoing and future projects.
