POSITION OVERVIEW:

Tebow CURE Nurse manages the care and recovery of the patients in collaboration with the medical team, who undergo Orthopedic and Reconstructive surgeries.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Restores and promotes patient’s health using the nursing process.
  2. Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
  3. Provides physical and psychological support to patients, families, and friends. 
  4. Identifies patient care requirements by establishing rapport with patients and their families. 
  5. Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
  6. Performs quality of care by adhering to the established plan of care and standards.
  7. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  8. Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  9. Maintains continuity among nursing teams by documenting and communicating actions.
  10. Maintains patients’ records in confidentiality.
  11. Adheres to infection control policies and protocols.
  12. Administers medication observing the rights of medication.
  13. Ensures that equipment is operational, and is responsible in calling for repairs and or preventive maintenance as the need arises.
  14. Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine and monitor inventory levels.
  15. Maintains an intentional relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.
  16. Performs admission assessment and ongoing, focused system assessment, including medical histories.
  17. Participates in and leads in-service training and team unit meetings.
  18. Cross-train on other nursing roles and duties and perform work in other areas within the Nursing Department, as necessary. 
  19. Perform Charge Nursing.
  20. Ensure proper turnover of patients to the next shift Nurse on Duty.

OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY & HEALTH:

  • Uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency in line with hospital quality programs (e.g. Safecare, DOH, etc.) requirements.
  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment by strictly adhering to infection prevention and control protocols such as but not limited to handwashing, wearing of PPE, etc.
  • Identifying, reporting & self-managing hazards where appropriate.
  • Early and accurate reporting of incidents at work and raising issues of concern when identified.
  • Commit to sustainable and eco-friendly work practices by minimizing waste, optimizing resource usage, and actively participating in initiatives that promote environmental stewardship.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Minimum Education : Bachelor Degree in Nursing
  2. License/Certificate: License by the Professional Regulatory Board of Nursing, Philippines, BLS, ACLS, PALS
  3. Minimum Experience Required:  At least a 1-year experience as a Staff Nurse is an advantage but not required. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 

  1. Fluent in local dialects such as Bisaya and Tagalog.
  2. Able to communicate well in English, verbal and written.
  3. Able to develop and provide individual patient care according to the established plan of care and standards.
  4. Ability to make independent nursing decisions that meet standards of practice and are in the best interests of the patient.
  5. Able to evaluate a patient's response to teaching, and plan in order to determine the effectiveness of the plan.
  6. Ability to identify and interpret early indicators of the crisis and intervene immediately.
  7. Able to support, embrace and live by the CURE core values, mission, and vision.
