NOTE: This is an in-country position.
Location: Davao City

Under the overall guidance of the Monitoring and Evaluation Director and direct supervision of the HR and Admin Director, the Data Collector (DC) will be responsible for implementing the M&E activities of the hospital; specifically, the DC will administer three surveys to patients during their inpatient stays and again at 12 months post-operation. The DC will also develop procedures that outline their work and support the hospital’s research initiatives by collecting relevant data.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Effectively administer WHODAS 2.0, EQ-5D, and spiritual surveys using the electronic medical record.
  2. Collect and input M&E data for patients by established procedures, for ongoing baseline reporting. 
  3. Obtain 12-month follow-up surveys from patients during mobile clinic visits to rural areas
  4. Ensure data cleanliness and integrity.
  5. Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection, and evaluation procedures. 
  6. Generate a monthly narrative report of activities as needed per leadership’s requests and DC capacity. 
  7. Assist hospital personnel with M&E tools and support them in their use, training, and retraining as necessary.
  8. Produce monthly narrative reports to describe M&E activities. 
  9. Support the clinical team in the quality improvement, audit, and research projects that will further inform the clinical service, including patient recruitment, data collection, and logistical support.

OTHER DUTIES

  • Uphold the highest standards of quality and efficiency in line with hospital quality programs (e.g. Safecare, DOH, etc.) requirements.
  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment by strictly adhering to infection prevention and control protocols such as but not limited to handwashing, wearing of PPE, etc.
  • Commit to sustainable and eco-friendly work practices by minimizing waste, optimizing resource usage and actively participating in initiatives that promote environmental stewardship.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  2. Minimum Experience Required: Experience in the implementation of M&E in development projects implemented by national/international NGOs/Government; desirable. Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis, and production of reports; desirable

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 

  1. Fluency in written and spoken English and local languages 
  2. Excellent organizational/administrative skills and ability to effectively plan in evolving situations
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  4. Strong computer proficiency using software applications such as Microsoft Office & and Google Drive
  5. Strong training and facilitation skills
